title On April 8, 2019, the NCDC Director General – Dr. Amiran Gamkrelidze conducted a meeting with a New Director and a Deputy Director of the S. Imamaliyev Republican Anti-Plague Station of Azerbaijan – Mr. Tahir Valiyev and Mrs. Rita Ismailova. Dr. Gamkrelidze introduced the Azeri colleagues the history of establishment, structure, mission and strategic priorities as well as the main activities of the departments of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health. After the meeting the Azeri guests visited the R. Lugar Center for Public Health Research.
