Annual Plenary Meeting of
Biosurveillance Network of the Silk Road was held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, on
September 25-27.
The participants of the
meeting are public health and veterinary practitioners from USA, France , Azerbaijan,
Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria
and representatives of the veterinary sector as well as international
organizations.
The meeting was also attended by the
Ambassador of Georgia to Kazakhstan Zurab Abashidze.
On September 25, the first day of the event, the document on
handover of chairmanship was signed by ex-chairman from Georgia and a new
chairman from Kazakhstan.
The meeting is dedicated to the purpose of strengthening
approaches, which are the basis for effective preparedness to prevent, respond
and recover from communicable disease threats, within One health Approach
