In collaboration with the Emory University and Integral Global, the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health has organized the workshop on “Outbreak Investigation” on July 27, 2021.

The most recent pandemic has shed light on the importance of global health security and outbreak investigation. Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine, in collaboration with Integral Global and support from the Georgian Emergency Medicine Physician Association and the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health are offering an in-person course to further educate healthcare professionals on the importance of detecting and responding to outbreaks of illness of unknown etiology. This interactive small-group course aims to instruct clinicians, public health professionals, and staff members of national emergency operations centers (EOCs). The Faculties of the Course are: Nabil Ahmed, MPH Director Integral Global; Ziad Kazzi, MD FACMT, FAAEM Associate Professor, Emory University School of Medicine; Jenna Buttolph, MPH/Candidate Global Health Associate Integral Global.
