On April 26-28, 2021, a training was held at the
National Center for Disease Control and Public Health within the framework of
the project "EU CBRN CoE
Project 53 – on-site (on-job) trainings on biosafety and Safe sample handling
of COVID patients for Health Care Professionals in Georgia" funded by the European Union and the
International Center for Science and Technology (ISTC). Total 42 health care workers were trained for the Tbilisi hospital sector.
By this event training activities that lasted from
February 1 to April 28, 2021 was complete. 65 municipalities of Georgia was
covered and a total of 490 healthcare workers responsible for taking COVID
material were trained, including public health
specialists, epidemiologists, doctors and nurses from hospital and
outpatient facilities.
