Project Summary

a). Project Objectives:

Enhancing viral hepatitis surveillance through policy development and surveillance capacity building in the country.


b). Project implementation:

Organize series of meetings with stakeholders and field experts to implement viral hepatitis reporting system.  

Conduct trainings to public health center epidemiologists to strengthen viral hepatitis (acute and chronic) surveillance in order to achieve effective reporting and improved use of registry.

Hepatitis C morbidity and mortality assessment with use of data and/or reviews from oncological centers, cancer registry and e-Health.


c). Expected results:  

Viral hepatitis reporting system will be functioning

Public health and primary health personnel will be requalified according to national elimination program

Hepatitis C related morbidity and mortality will be fully evaluated.
