Project Summary

a). Project Objectives:

Strengthening laboratory capabilities of Ukrainian National Influenza Centre by means of virologist training in the following topics: influenza virus isolation on MCDK cell culture, identification of the haemagglutinin subtype of viral isolates by haemagglutination inhibition testing, detection and subtyping influenza viruses by real-time polymerase chain reaction methodology.

b). Project implementation:

The course included lectures and practical exercises.

c). Expected results:  

Increase the knowledge of Ukrainian National Influenza Centre’s virologist in influenza viruses laboratory investigations.
