Annual Meeting of International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI)

On December 1-3, 2021 Annual Meeting of International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI) was held. This year’s event was focused on health equity. The Meeting was focused on the role of national public health institutes in tackling health inequities, exacerbated by major public health challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. Amiran Gamkrelidze, Director General of National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC) participated in the Meeting. Natia Skhvitaridze, Advisor of Director General for Global and Public Health participated as a speaker with the presentation: “Perspective from Georgia: COVID-19 and Health Equity".
National Center for Disease Control and Public Health participated in the IANPHI contest "Recognition of success". NCDC submitted the project “Progress of Hepatitis C Elimination Program in Georgia”. The project was recognized as one of the outstanding achievements of 2021 in the IANPHI European Network.
