If a traveler arrives from a country (China,
Iran, Italy, South Korea) at high risk of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outspread,
the following rules must be adhered:
1.
On a plane:
a) Filling in a special
questionnaire about travel history
b) It is necessary to use a
medical mask on board, which must be changed every 2 hours with a new mask, the
used mask should be put in a residue bag;
c) Strict adherence to the
rules of personal hygiene:
c.a) washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand
sanitizer before eating.
c.b) washing hands with soap and water and/or alcohol-based
hand sanitizer after using the lavatory.
c.c) Avoid close contact with individuals who cough and have a
fever;
c.d) Avoid touching the eyes, mouth and nose with one’s
hand.
2. At Tbilisi international airport/ border
checkpoints:
a)
Undergoing
a thermal screening with a thermal scanner (not visible to the passenger)
b)
Filling
in an Information card (by in-depth interview with a passenger) by Revenue
service epidemiologist
c)
When
undergoing screenings as defined in subparagraphs a and b
Passenger:
c.a) If temperature 37.5 and more, cough is
prevailed and traveled in the countries at high risk of virus outbreak for the
past 14 days, will be transported by Emergency brigade to the hospital for
infectious diseases, where a research will be carried out for eliminating new
coronavirus. For this, nasopharyngeal smear is taken and sent to the laboratory
of Lugar, the results of the test will be known no later than 12 hours.
Discharge from the hospital will be possible in case of disappearance of
clinical symptoms of the disease and/or improvement in the results of
laboratory tests.
c.b) If temperature is not prevailed, although
other symptoms of acute respiratory infection (cold, weakness etc.)are present,
however, before the onset of symptoms, was in contact with confirmed or
suspected case of COVID-19 for 14 days, worked or visited a medical facility
where confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 were under medical treatment,.
For this, nasopharyngeal smear is taken and sent to the laboratory of Lugar,
the results of the test will be known no later than 12 hours. Discharge from
the hospital will be possible in case of disappearance of clinical symptoms of
the disease and/or improvement in the results of laboratory tests.
c.c) Neither
temperature, nor any kind of respiratory system problems
is prevailed, but was in contact with an infected individual for 14 days, and is
given Midi “contact” status upon research carried out by epidemiologists.
c.c.a) If the residential area of passenger is
adequate for self-isolation, after familiarizing with relevant instructions,
he/she is sent home and will periodically be monitored by epidemiologists.
c.c.b) In other cases
the passenger will be transferred to the quarantine zone designated by
the ministry, and he/she will periodically be monitored by an epidemiologist.
c.c.c) If the individual in self-isolation or the
quarantine zone is employed, Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the occupied
territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia is authorized to issue
a legal document compliant with a medical notice for above-stated individuals
upon request.
